YOGA TEACHER & FOUNDER OF KHYA YOGA STUDIOS AND KHYA ONLINE
Yoga to me is about so much more than the poses; its an opportunity for me to get out of my head and into my heart. It's my time to disconnect from everything happening outside that I can’t control.
Linking movement with breath to create flow is one of my favourite ways to teach because I feel that's where the magic happens. There truly is no greater feeling than when it’s just you on your mat with your flow and nothing or nobody exists.
I am equally as passionate about teaching meditation and more gentle styles of yoga, the healing power in restorative classes is truly wonderful so much so that I want to share it with you too. I believe these healing classes are where the body has the opportunity to really rest and digest. Yoga helped me heal during a difficult part of my life and it has since continued to be there throughout life’s ups and downs. I see my practice as my support and this is exactly what I want to pass on to others. In my studio I feel very humbled that people trust me with their practice, I love holding the pace for them to move through whatever they're facing - nothing brings me a greater joy.
I hope this platform allows me to connect with more lovely people at a time when we need to slow down, practice self love and have a positive outlook I am here for you all .
I hope you will join me on the mat and make some time for yourself .
YOGA TEACHER IN TRAINING
My yoga journey started when I was studying for my GCSE's, a family friend suggested I try a yoga class to destress my mind, my first ever class was with Paris (the owner of the studio) and my passion for yoga started right there. After attending regular classes at the studio for a few months I was offered a job as part of the KHYA team, fast forward to now, i have decided to turn my passion into a career and I am currently studying for my certificate in Yoga teacher training.
My teaching style is inclusive, warm and friendly, infused with a focus on energy energy. i will encourage you to challenge yourself whilst opening the conversation with your body and mind and to take what you need in a mindful and safe way. This all sprinkled with a sense of humour and a big smile inviting you to relax and feel at ease.
